The PHCA sponsored a Top Ten even from 1998 through 2003 in conjunction with each year's National Specialty.  The dogs rated top ten (conformation) in either Breed standings or All-Breed standings from the previous year were invited to compete.

This is not an AKC event and is held prior to the National Specialty itself, usually in the evening ... accompanied by a banquet.  Each dog is judged individually by three different judges; representing an AKC judge, a breeder judge and a handler judge.  Top Ten rosettes are awarded to each entrant.  The winner of the Top Ten was announced at the annual PHCA Awards Banquet held on the following evening.

In addition to the Annual Top Ten Event, the evening also features a "Parade of Title Holders" which gives Pharaoh Hound owners the opportunity to introduce additional title holders in the breed.
