The PHCA offers a three tier awards system which is retroactive back to AKC breed recognition in 1984. Three different levels of awards will be available including Dual Certificate, Versatility Certificates, and Registers of Merit. The dual and versatility certificates are awards for individual dog performance while the Register of Merit (ROM) are awards to recognize outstanding dams and sires through the accomplishments of their get. To qualify for any PHCA award the dog must be owned or co-owned by a PHCA member.

Copies of title certificates or a copy of AKC award verification must be mailed to the PHCA awards chairman in order to verify all qualifications, including documentation of sire or dam for ROM awards. All awards will be updated annually in conjunction with the annual meeting.
